Still here

Two days short of a month after we moored up in Portsmouth, we’re still stuck here, rolling mastless and restless in a more and more familiar town. We’re on first name basis with the marina staff. We can give directions to lost tourists. The Subway guy already knows wich sauce we want, and he knows that we know, so he doesn’t even care to ask just to be polite.

Right now, we’re waiting for some new navtangs for our mast, so our fate is in the hands of a french navtec-dealer. Not a very comfortable situation. In a perfect world they would have arrived tomorrow, the mast would be done and stepped in a few days, and we would turn this town to our rudder before the week is over.
